Friday Cashmere

I'm planning to go straight out after work today, so I'm less professional and more party, while still trying to stay warm. This is my featherweight cashmere sweater that was on clearance from bluefly.com last year. I'm going to be really sad when this style and color are no longer "in".

I probably need a belt on this, but it seemed to be too much with the necklace. I wish I had a pretty purple long stringy necklace, but a las, I'll have to be matchy and wear my navy one. I do have on my pretty purple heels though!

More Gray

I'm doing my trial judging for dance team tonight, so I thought I'd dress a bit boss. Same gray dress with a turquoise sweater, cause the hot pink one is at the cleaners (along with half my wardrobe, note to self: pick it up!)

Unfortunately (or thank goodness so I can get my hip back in place), I also have a chiropractor appointment today. I'm not sure how that is going to work out with this outfit.

But style came before practicality (which it usually does) this morning.

Gray Repeat

Doing this outfit again cause I'm so attracted to gray this season. That and boots, cause it's SO cold.

Sort of like last week

Only a different color sweater and a skirt instead of pants. The skirt has a little pinstripe in it, that may clash a little with the cable in the sweater. But oh well. I'm just behind a desk anyway.

what i wore last night to meet his mother. good thing i was on the dressy side, as she wore a navy pinstripe suit! note the perfectly matching red patent peep toes!! james wore jeans, silly boy.
sorry i did not capture my thanksgiving outfit, but my mom, aunt and i wore black tanks with various shades of green cardigans. unplanned and magnificant for sure!

Wonder Woman Outfit

This is my driving home outfit. Please ignore the purple socks, they were the only ones I could find that I could wear with my red shoes. The best part is my vintage necklace with the lightning bolts, so rock n roll. But many people say it reminds them of wonder woman, so I wore superhero colors too.

White Stripes Kinda

This was yesterday's outfit, and I was having a ridiculously difficult time with the camera, and this was the best I could get, so that's why this picture is so emo. It's also missing the best parts of the outfit- the red belt and shoes. I got lots of compliments.

Purple and Gray

Gray and white, cotton, pinstripe pants (Target clearance from last year that I've been waiting to wear until they actually fit) with a pretty jewel tone purple sweater over a crisp white shirt. And navy pointy pumps.

I put this shirt on today and there were no buttons on the sleeves, so I'm faking it and using my sweater to keep my cuffs closed.

i think the big bead necklaces are out/going out but i have a lot of them so today i wear one.

my boots are quickly becoming my favorite shoes, but i need to get the caps replaced soon. is it more expensive for boots than for regular heels?

I swear my pants were not this wrinkely when I left the house this morning

I almost wore my faux shirtdress again (just change out he pants for my black skirt), but it didn't feel right. I don't know if these pants feel right either. They have changed sizes since the last time I wore them and now they are weird.

FYI: I have my red belt on too.

Feeling Festive

Who's feeling festive? I am! A little red shiny at work to get me in the spirit. I'm the ONLY one in the office today, so I must make it a little interesting. And don't tell the few snow flakes outside that I have peep-toes on. Is it ever okay to wear those with socks? Probably not, huh.

Last week!

So apparently this is how I roll... this outfit is from last week sometime (back when it was warm-ish! Usually I got for more contrasting colors, but sometimes I'll wear a whole outfit in one color scheme. My favorite part is the blue knee socks that you can't really tell are knee socks... With a target sweater skirt from last year and a clearance top from kohls that was like $3. And my blue rock necklace from my Grammy!
Later in the day I changed into red shoes with a red headband, and I felt much better, I guess I need some contrast in my life!

It's cold outside

But if you put on tweed and tights and boots and a long coat with a scarf and mittens, it doesn't seem so bad.

Low Rise Wide Leg

So apparently, I already had low rise, wide leg trousers (as opposed to my pair of high waisted ones) in my closet. I just hadn't worn them in a while and had forgotten.

I added the brown Gap tank purchased from the Salvation Army last Friday for $.90 and a clearance navy crop cardigan from The Limited.

Oh and for the anonymous commenter who asked about my cobbler. I took my shoes to Happy Feet on St. Clair (and I think Fairview) in St. Paul. $7 per shoe.

Broke down and wore nude hose

Steel blue Target cardigan and salvation army lavender necklace to enliven my white shirt and gray skirt.

Thrifted Dress

A brown Target dress, from the Salvation Army shopping spree with Jess last Friday. It was marked a 4, but I was confident it was incorrect - and it was so it fits! In fact all of the loot we found that day fit when I tried it on at home. Score!

This dress has a lot of volume and I think it will be more fun in the summer when I don't have to wear it with boots, tights, and a wool sweater.

Flu Shots Friday

I needed to wear short sleeves cause I have to get a flu shot today. So I opted for a Forever 21 tunic shirt and a clearance J.Crew scarf as a belt with my consignment shop dark jeans and pointy toe navy pumps.

Also, I picked up a clearance faux pearl stretchy necklace from Target and am pleased as punch with it.

All Saints Day

I found another bathroom that has a full length mirror and only a single stall, but kind of bad lighting. I adjusted it in picasa, which makes for a bit of a grainy picture.

I could have worn this dress yesterday and been a witch, but we'll just say it's for Día de los Muertos.
