Pink and Velvet

A nice warm wool and angora turtleneck sweater (H&M) for a cold day. And fun grey velvet pants (The Limited clearance). (The boss is not here today, so I'm a little casual).

Packable

Got ready at Anthony's today so this was easy and not wrinkly to pack along. I gave blood - notice the sticker, so I wanted short sleeves too. In retrospect, a pretty purple necklace would have been good. But for now, my turquoise one will do.

It's warm today

Which helped the fact that I'm wearing a dress again today. The same Express clearance as from the beginning of the month. This time with my favorite pink cashmere sweater.

Who likes high waist?

I do! Continuing with gray and turquoise and adding a little navy and white polka dot. It's Friday, but there was a big iron range delegation meeting in our offices today so, I thought I'd play my secretary role and wear hose and heels. I did wear boots into the office cause, it's STILL freaking cold.

On another note. I haven't been as inspired when I dress lately (cause I want to wear skirts and it's cold) and so there may be a slow down in posting. Also, session starts soon and I'm assuming I'll have less time to do this. I'm thinking only when I really like my outfit will there be a post. Any others out there wanting to add to the fun let me know and I'll add you as a contributor, obviously we can use a little help.

A-line and boots

Took this at the end of the day at the gym. In my head this outfit was great, but on I may be combining too many ideas.

Below Zero

It's below zero outside, but I'm replaying this dress any way. Tights, boots, a cardigan and a wool dress make the temperature more bearable. I haven't been able to find my blush for the last two days (something about hauling my girl things between two beds) so, I've been forced to use lipstick. I don't know if you can tell. I think the color I used yesterday was better.

Wideleg and slim shirt

I just can't help myself, I have so much grey and turquoise:) Grey pinstripe, wide leg pants from the Limited (clearance), salvation army Target shirt and my favorite black cardigan.

Favorite skirt and boots

This is SO my favorite outfit right now. Thus, I'm repeating it today. I woke up and it was still 20 degrees so I went for a skirt again. It's supposed to get really cold and snow this afternoon, but I'll take that when it comes.

Only chance for a skirt

Today is forecast to be the warmest day of the week (a whooping 20 degrees!) and so it's my only chance to wear a skirt. I told my friend Meghan this on the walk into the building and she thought I was ridiculous.

But I pulled on my warmest tights, a nearly boot-length skirt and tall boots. A little cardigan and a tank and I was good to go. I considered buttoning the sweater all the way down and belting it with a skinny little black belt, but decided against it.

Trying not to wear gray and turquoise or purple today.

But this really isn't that different.

Salvation Army sweater with a green 3/4 sleeve collar shirt underneath. I picked the shirt up at the clothing swap for FREE in October. Which I think makes up for the pants that I bought on sale at The Limited last Fall too.

Surprise! Jessica came to visit.

She, in a pretty green Target dress purchased at salvation army and boots. I, in gray velvet pants (Express clearance), a blue satin-y top (Target clearance) and black cardigan.

Lovely

Gray Sweaterdress

So, I came to work today with this purple cardigan over my gray sweater dress. But, I think it looks better without it. See next photo.

Sweaterdress, btw, 100% Merino Wool, clearance from H&M. And so soft and comfy and warm.

I'm wearing the purple tights from Jess that she gave me for my birthday/Christmas and a purple belt taken off of a salvation army dress. I wanted to wear a big wide black belt, but I can't find either of the two that I own. The last time I remember wearing either is Thanksgiving. Where are they?!

Purple Remix

Remix of my favorite purple sweater outfit. This time with a $14 lavender collar shirt from Express and clearance gray wool pants from H&M. And I couldn't resist wearing my purple pointy toe heels. And my new pearl necklace that I received from my Mom for Christmas.

Pink and Gray

Only had time to take one shot before I could hear heels walking toward the bathroom - thus a little blurry. This is a skirt that I got on clearance at the BR factory store, natch. And my favorite hot pink cardigan and matching gray tweed pumps.

Is it possible that my feet are shrinking? These are 7 1/2 and they still seem too big.

Navy and gray

I woke up about the time I was supposed to be a work this morning, because I thought it would be a good idea to turn my alarm off, instead of hitting snooze. Thus, the pony tail and glasses. Thank goodness I showered at the gym last night and had pretty much picked out my outfit in my head.

This is a pretty new cardigan from the BR factory store that was on sale last week (happy birthday to me) and jeans from Target. I got these same style for my mom for Christmas. Some nice dark blue, good fit, with no embellishments.

January Blue

New purply-blue shirt, $14 from Express and the gray pants I've been searching for clearance from the BR factory store. And you can't really tell, but a black and white hounds tooth belt, just for fun, clearance from Target.

I'm all in the new 'it' color according to Pantone, the authority on these things.

New Years Bash

Head to toe outfit shot with the lovely Genevieve. She invited us out to the fabulous private party above Spill the Wine. Dress clearance from the Limited and shrug clearance from Express. Black lace and silver sparkley shoes clearance from Target and $.90 clutch from salvation army. (Also wore a pretty dark blue wool coat clearance from Target too.)
