I don't know about this outfit today
I know gray is in for Fall and all, but I don't know if this outfit works or not. I could use a little more color (considered a skarf, but thought it would be too much pattern with the knit and stripped skirt, decided on gray chunky beads instead) and I wish the neckline of my camisole was the same as my sweater. But, I've been wanting to wear this sweater, that I inherited from Jess, for a long time. I swear this skirt didn't fit when I put it away last Spring - what a nice surprise this morning! It's definitely been a boots week. I'm dying to wear a jean skirt with my cowboy boots tomorrow!

Purple and green
Green clearance JCrew dress with a purple, tie-back belt stolen from another dress. Long sliver necklace with boots. P.S. I'm feeling 100% today and yesterday I had one of my best runs ever:) But, sadly, my antique pearl necklace broke - was it getting caught in the rain, or should it not have been worn? I'm hoping to have a jeweler restring it for me.

Indian Summer
I'm still recovering from Octoberfest on Saturday night, so I'm not feeling so hot this morning (at least I can keep my breakfast down). Hence, I feel a little wrinkled today. But, I went antiquing (am I too young for that?) on Saturday morning and bought this lovely pearl necklace from an antique store on West 7th in St. Paul. A pearl necklace is on my fall to-buy list now that I don't live with Jessica and her three-strand one:) Also, am looking for pearl earrings, but I might have to buy fake ones from Claires.

Happy Hour after work!
That calls for a dress and I totally love this one (guess where it's from), I almost wore it for my date last night (I ended up taking your advice with the purple/maroon dress, purple peep-toes and black cardigan, sorry no picture, but I was hot). I added my pink cashmere cardigan so I don't freeze at work and (scandal) pink low heels again (I know I'm matchy). I wore this to church last Sunday too, but I didn't post, so it's kinda like it never happened, right?

orange and purple
im still holding onto summer with capris and tan wedge sandles. i know thats not allowed, but im confident enough to break 1 fashion rule.
since everyone loved my american outfit yesterday, i decided it was okay to do another scarf. this one is from an antique store in crookston i believe. thank you old lady who decided to sell it!

Wrapdress Monday
It's probably the last chance I have to wear this forever 21, navy and white pattern, dress without tights for the year. I decided it wasn't too much pattern to add my sailor shoes with bows. They, unfortunately, are the most uncomfortable shoes I own. Mostly, because they are a 1/2 size too big (the only ones left online). But, I'm keeping them just in case my feet grow if I'm ever pregnant (my mom is shorter than me with bigger feet - pretty much inevitable).

Pink cashmere for sewing in a chilly house
I ran some errands in my favorite hot pink cashmere cardigan on Saturday. This was ultra cute with my brown trapeze coat over top. I went to Treadle Yard Goods and got a couple books, a pattern and some lovely fabric to try out my new sewing machine.
I cleaned the machine, wound the bobbin, threaded the needle (with the only thread I had - hot pink, no less) and was all ready to go. But, unfortunately, I cut the fabric wrong and turned it into scrap. Live and learn.

Finally Friday
It's so cold even I don't want to wear a skirt today.
Belted long shirt with brown slacks and purple peep-toe shoes. Too much brown with my trapeze coat? Probably, but I'm only wearing it for a little while, so it's okay. I would have done khakis, but I thought the dark brown looked sleeker for Friday.

Cheerio!
The guy at the coffeeshop told me I look very "London" today with my trench coat. It feels "London" outside, so I guess that works. This is my clearance ($13), plaid, halter Target dress. I also layered a white cardigan (I searched high and low this morning for my chunky navy one to no avail) and pointed navy heels.
Oh and btw, I'm pursing my lips in the picture.

Strapless JCrew Dress Day Two
I may have worn a similar silhouette yesterday. But no one really sees me up in my office anyway. Today its a red and blue polka-dot, embossed beach dress with a Target cardigan I had to buy special yesterday. Cause I don't live with Jessica anymore and even though I have a whole plastic box full of cardigans I don't have a red (or an appropriate navy) one. Finally, navy pointy-toe pumps (Jess, I really wanted to but, I decided to not do the sailor shoes with the red bow - a little too Mary Olson-esque.) and I'm out the door.

It may be after Labor Day...
but it's still 85 degrees and sunny so I'm taking this last opportunity to wear my new (j.crew final sale) pink and white striped strapless dress (with a cardigan so that it's appropriate for work). I would have liked to add my turquoise strappy sandals with this, but my pedicure is horrendous and I couldn't for the life of me find a nail clipper this morning. Thus, light pink pumps (a little matchy-matchy) will do.
